ECHOLIGHT
Echolight is the first radiation-free solution for the diagnosis of osteoporosis in the lumbar
vertebrae and femoral neck.
Osteoporosis
A new concept of bone health
This marks the beginning of new way of managing assessment of bone condition through prevention, early diagnosis of osteoporosis, and monitoring of bone health in primary care, either comfortably in the clinic or directly in the patient’s bed at home.
R.E.M.S. Technology
Radiofrequency Echographic Multi Spectrometry
FDA Approved
The most advanced bone densitometer for bone health assessment for your daily clinical activities.
Quick Scan
The ultrasound scan takes just 80 seconds for the spine and 40 seconds for the femur, therefore enabling an accurate prevention, diagnosis and monitoring of bone health without limitations relating to the positioning of the patient and manual image segmentation.A software-assisted rapid scan provides simultaneous acquisition of images and the corresponding radiofrequency signals

Faq
No, it is a safe, non-invasive and non-hazardous procedure. Echolight uses sound waves without harmful side effects and does not use ionizing radiation as an X-ray test does.
No, you do not need a doctor’s referral to undergo the study..
Yes, but it is based on our scheduled patients, Walk-ins are accommodated on an availability basis. Remember, a patient with an appointment has priority.
At the time of your date, you will need to provide a Credit Card, Debit Card, or Cash. We don’t accept Money Orders or Checks.
No, our personalized service is for self-pay patients. We don’t work with any insurance companies, Medicaid, Medicare, or any thirdparty payers, but our prices are affordable for all. We are in the process of enrollment for healthcare insurance.
The echolight test does not require prior preparation.
- Following an extensive research program, the National Research Council (CNR) has come up with Echolight, a new technology called R.E.M.S, the central engine of the EchoS device.
- During an ultrasound scan, the operator will adjust the focus and depth to visualize the bone target in the center of the ultrasound field of view, the software will automatically detect the bone interface and allow identification of the region of interest.
- The B-mode image is obtained through the average derived from the pure unfiltered radiofrequency signals sent by the transducer.
- R.E.M.S analysis is based on parallel processing of pure unfiltered RF signals of multiple scan lines with a frequency of approximately 20 frames per second.
- This huge quantitative frame processing is compared to the reference spectral models of gender, age and body mass index developed and collected in more than 15,000 patients, the measured data is compared to the reference spectral models, which allows R.E.M.S to analyze bone microarchitecture and a reliable medical report is obtained in approximately one minute.
- EchoS, through a quick and easy examination, quantitatively assesses bone density and microarchitectural quality, providing an accurate estimate of fracture risk.
- R.E.M.S processes the native unfiltered RF signals of 20 scan lines, automatically removing pure RF signals belonging to calcifications, osteophytes and other artifacts.
- During the first two years of activity, more than 100,000 patients were studied in more than 200 clinical centers!
- R.E.M.S a new concept for monitoring bone health throughout life! It’s a radiation-free technology!
- Evaluates bone density and bone quality in the lumbar vertebrae and femoral neck.
- It allows: 1) Prevention 2) Early diagnosis 3) Short-term follow-up
